Top 100 Business Blogs #2

Nachdem ich mich ein wenig näher der erwähnten Liste der 100 wichtigsten Blogs im deutschsprachigen Gebiet auseinandergesetzt habe, frage ich mich effektiv, was da gemacht wurde...

Ich hab mir mal die letzten 11 aufgeführten Ränge (90-100) näher betrachtet und auf Blogstats die Verlinkung bis September überprüft:

100: 1 Verweis in 1 Quelle
99: 4 Verweise in 3 Quellen
98: 1 Verweis in 1 Quelle
97: 1 Verweis in 1 Quelle
96: 1 Verweis in 1 Quelle
95: 1 Verweis in 1 Quelle
94: 4 Verweise in 2 Quellen
93: 2 Verweise in 1 Quelle
92: 2 Verweise in 1 Quelle
91: 3 Verweise in 1 Quelle
90: 18 Verweise in 1 Quelle

Hab ich da etwas falsch verstanden bei der Vorgehensweise der Verlinkungsdichte oder können über Blogstats weitere Funktionen aufgerufen werden?? Falls nicht macht diese Rangverteilung wenig Sinn...! Gibts Erklärungen oder muss ich mich der Meinung von Industrial Technology and Witchcraft, dem Erstplatzierten der Liste, anschliessen?

PS: die Diskussion wird, wie auf Technorati gesehen werden kann, immer heftiger geführt - schon 101 Links - effektiv gute PR!

Top 100 Business Blogs

Bin gerade bei einer Google-Suche auf diese Adresse der Top 100 Business Blogs aus dem deutschsprachigen Gebiet gestossen.
Bei der Analyse, die von Econcon und Ketchum durchgeführt wurde, wurde über Blogstats die Verlinkungsdichte verschiedener Business Blogs betrachtet.
Da ich jetzt gerade an den Fallbeispielen externer Corporate Blogs schreibe, kommt mir die Liste gelegen! Muss sie mal auf CH-Blogs durchstöbern - hab beim kurzen überfliegen Namics auf Platz 53 entdeckt...hoffe aber es nat noch einige mehr...

Huch, da scheint der erste Platz mit den Industrial Technology and Witchcraft etwas fehlbesetzt zu sein - ich nehme an, dass die Intention von Econcon und Ketchum eher ne andere war, als dass eine Diskussion über deren Glaubwürdigkeit vom besten 'Business'-Blog im deutschsprachigen Raum angezettelt wird...peinlich!

Sifry's Blogging report

I believe Sifry's report about the state of blogging is right now the most accurant proximity to get about an idea how many blogs are out there. After a report in August and the one before in March, Sifry published yet another report yesterday.
The summary:

• As of October 2005, Technorati is now tracking 19.6 Million weblogs
• The total number of weblogs tracked continues to double about every 5 months
• The blogosphere is now over 30 times as big as it was 3 years ago, with no signs of letup in growth
• About 70,000 new weblogs are created every day
• About a new weblog is created each second
• 2% - 8% of new weblogs per day are fake or spam weblogs
• Between 700,000 and 1.3 Million posts are made each day
• About 33,000 posts are created per hour, or 9.2 posts per second
• An additional 5.8% of posts (or about 50,000 posts/day) seen each day are from spam or fake blogs, on average

I already need to update my thesis again - incredible how fast it's changing. Absolutely great would be an overview of the different kind of blogs - I don't think that the current categorizations (which I also use in my thesis) are accurate anymore due to the fast changing of the blogosphere...anybody out there keen to make a thesis about it?

Chocolate and books

With lots of chocolate in reach, a little burn-out-effect from writing every day (incl.Sundays) and a little disappointment about the quite uninteresting Switzerland-Ireland football game yesterday, I'm still about to revise my thesis.
My productivity is quite low at the moment - hope there's more motivation tomorrow after juggling later today...

Blogs swamp the world: Survey in the UK // Eypocard

The Guardian from the UK released an article about young people blogging in the UK today.

They use the internet on average 8h/week mainly for online communities, messaging services or email, which is quite a lot, but not that surprising.
What IS surprising: One third of them also said they have their own blogs or webpages!

The survey was a controlled quota sample of 580 people aged between 14 and 21 on September 16-17 and the interviews were conducted face-to-face in 36 randomly selected areas in the UK. The survey was done by ICM.
Seems to be greatly done...

For the rest, I can only add the comment from 'The angel blog':

Zusatz: Hab grad die Eypocard-Story von BloggingTom ein wenig nachgelesen - spannend dass wir auch mal so nen Fall in der Schweiz haben. Tragisch wie von der Firma damit umgegangen wird. Gut dass Blogs durch die starke Verlinkung die Google-Suchkriterien beeinflussen, um Leute darauf aufmerksam machen zu können, dass die Firma nicht ganz saubere Geschäftspraktiken nachverfolgt...! Overview on Blogs

I just found this German overview about books, web ressources and studies connected with blogs. I didn't even know all of them and I definitely have to take another title on the left side listing all 'finished theses' I found until now.

My online-survey is a bit stucked right now - I didn't write out any emails during the last days because I'm about to revise my thesis...quite hard a task...I already thought of posting a first part on this page to get feedbacks from my readers...

Blogging means business

Die IBM-Mitarbeiter Harriet Pearson (Chief Privacy Officer and Vice President for Corporate Affairs) und Willy Chiu (Vice President of IBM's High Performance On Demand Solutions Group) diskutieren in einer sehr interessanten und informativen audiovisuellen Präsentation über Blogs für Firmen.
NevOn hat einige Highlights herausgehoben und ich habe noch einige Angaben ergänzt:

- Es hat derzeit zwischen 12 und 14'000 aktive Blogger unter den Mitarbeitern
- Die Blogger kommen aus 70-73 verschiedenen Ländern
- Es gibt 2'800 Mitarbeiter, die intern bloggen (Mr.Chiu spricht gar von 12'000, die im internen 'Blog Central' eingeschrieben sind)
- Während dem letzten Jahr hat sich die Zahl der Blogger bei IBM vervierfacht

Interessanter Beitrag - ich habe mir heute auch noch die aktuelle Technorati-Studie angeschaut und in meine Arbeit integriert. Bei einer derzeitigen Anzahl von 19Mio erfasster Blogs und einem Wachstum von durchschnittlich 80'000 Blogs pro Tag im Juli dieses Jahres ist das zunehmende Interesse von Firmen nicht erstaunlich...
